ABOUT LAMBDA SIGMA GAMMA SORORITY, INC.
Our Story
Lambda Sigma Gamma Sorority, Inc. is an academic, community, social, and multi-cultural sorority. We are a solid network of women in higher education, who have chosen to unite in order to enhance our college experiences. Lambda Sigma Gamma Sorority, Inc. was founded with the purpose of creating a support system for women once they have entered the university. We provide our members a family away from home - in order to facilitate the retention of motivated students. Through the support its members offer each other, Lambda Sigma Gamma Sorority, Inc. has developed a strong, safe and loving environment where friendships grow, characters build, knowledge is shared, and a multicultural sisterhood is created.

PHILANTHROPY EVENTS
Philanthropy is extremely important to us; it’s one of the primary pillars of Lambda Sigma Gamma Sorority, Inc. All members are actively involved in philanthropy events and clubs around campus. Additionally, we regularly host a wide array of volunteering activities and fundraisers, which you can learn more about below.
BREAST CANCER WALK
The Breast Cancer walk is one of the philanthropies that we hold near and dear to our hearts. We make it a mission to participate every year so that we may walk along side our sisters who have been directly affected by breast cancer themselves or have a family member fighting like a warrior.
CANNED FOOD DRIVE
Every year we partner with the Yolo County food bank to host a canned food drive within our Davis Community. Our annual food drive benefits dozens of hungry families around the holiday season.
OUR SCHOLARSHIP
The Beauty Through Diversity Scholarship is awarded annually to a graduating female high school student who exemplifies excellence in the areas of academics, personal achievement, and community service.
